Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Pediatric physical therapy plays a pivotal role in optimizing the physical development, function, and overall well-being of children with disabilities. It encompasses the assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis and intervention of children who experience functional limitations or disability due to a disorder, trauma or disease process, from birth to adolescence. Pediatric physical therapists (PTs) work closely with children, their families and other healthcare professionals to design and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific impairments and promote optimal movement patterns, strength, coordination and balance.

This Special Issue of Children delves into the latest advances and insights in pediatric physical therapy, encompassing a broad spectrum of topics that reflect the diverse and impactful contributions of this field to the health and well-being of children worldwide. We will explore the latest research on motor development, rehabilitation interventions for neurological conditions and musculoskeletal disorders, and the integration of technology-driven approaches to enhance therapy outcomes.

You are invited to contribute publications to the dynamic world of pediatric physical therapy, where evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary care and a commitment to improving children's lives are at the forefront of our endeavors.
