Travel Award

The Animals Travel Award was launched in 2018 and is presented every year to encourage junior scientists to present their latest research findings at academic conferences in different fields of study involving animals, including zoology, ethnozoology, animal science, animal ethics, and animal welfare, helping to increase their influence. The application period was open from May to December each year, and the winners will be announced by the end of May 2024.

The Prize:
– CHF 800;
– An electronic certificate.

Eligibility and Requirements

– Postdoctoral fellows or PhD students.
– Plans to attend an international conference in 2024 (oral presentation or poster).

List of Documents for Application

– Information about the conference the applicant is planning to attend and the abstract that will be submitted;
– A curriculum vitae and list of publications;
– Justification letter describing the focus of the research (max. 800 words);
– Letter of recommendation from the candidate’s supervisor, research director, or department head, which also confirms the candidate’s status at the institution.
